Quinta do Rio Noemi

This is a family place with a lot of heritage. The host clearly cares about it and welcomed us graciously. Breakfast included local food, and the bed linen was exceptionally clean, with very good quality towels too.

We were there during a heatwave, so having both the pool and air conditioning made a big difference. The owner was warm, helpful, and welcoming, and offered recommendations. He doesn’t live at the quinta, but was there every morning, often came by in the afternoon, and was only a message away at other times. He and his wife and the other staff made the place feel homely. We could use whatever we needed, and nothing was a problem. Everything was really relaxed, just how we like it. Breakfast was fresh and the rooms were clean. We really recommend this place.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh, delicious food and such genuine hospitality that it felt like family had made it for us. The staff were unbelievably kind. Our room was comfortable, inviting, and thoughtfully laid out, and we loved unwinding in the living room by the crackling fireplace. The quiet, remote setting made for a proper escape. With family heirlooms in the decor, the whole place felt nostalgic and welcoming, almost like being at your parents’ house. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The design is lovely, and the owner gave us a warm welcome. We were treated attentively and pleasantly throughout our stay. The food was especially delicious and felt like a real treat. I highly recommend this place.
