I stayed here in February 2026, and it was a real treat. You can tell the people running this hostel care about the guest experience and have thought things through. The place was super clean, the location was great, and the staff and owner were friendly and very helpful. There was obvious care and effort put into how the space works. One of my best hostel stays in Portugal.

The street had no available parking, despite the listing mentioning free parking, so I used a nearby paid lot for the day. The room itself was small but clean and comfortable, the WiFi and showers worked well, and the staff were friendly. There’s also a shared kitchen guests can use.

For four people, the room feels far too cramped. The bed is poor quality, with such thin mattresses you can feel the metal frame. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We spent a week here, and it made a great base for visiting Guimaraes. The rooms were clean and had A/C, a TV, and free WiFi. There’s a shared kitchen with the basics for cooking, though you’ll need to get your own groceries.

The price is reasonable, but the place fell short of what we expected. With only two bathrooms and showers for 20 guests, there weren’t enough facilities, and the bathrooms weren’t clean. The beds could use attention, and noise carries between rooms because there isn’t enough insulation. Breakfast also wasn’t set up for large groups. Not terrible for the cost, but we expected more.
