Posh Residences

We loved this stylish flat inside the old walled city. To get into the old town, you pass through a barrier. We called our host when we arrived, and he met us and directed us to the free parking in the town square. The flat was a short walk from there. Guimares looks so pretty at night, with the buildings lit by fairy lights. Just around the corner we had an amazing meal at the chic, modern 'Historic'. The steaks were to die for. We sat in the courtyard listening to a guitarist sing and play chill-out music until late. What a night! The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly, and their office is right under the flat if you need anything. Inside, the place has light, modern decor, two spacious bedrooms, and a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The shower room was a little small, but it’s a converted old townhouse. In the morning, they brought us breakfast in a wooden box, with everything for a hearty meal: yogurts, fresh croissants, fresh fruit, and more. There’s a coffee or tea machine in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and everything spotless. Before we left, we took the cable car up the 'mountain' to the Park at the top, to see the view and the unusual natural rock formations. There’s a Church and cafe up there too. You could spend half a day wandering the paths through the park and woods, though some are steep. Loved our stay. Everything about it was exceptional.
