After two nights without sleep, thanks to two men snoring loudly in my room, I left to find somewhere quieter. I asked for a refund for the three nights I had left, but the owners refused and acted extremely unprofessionally, even calling me names. I've stayed in dozens of hostels, and this was my worst customer service experience. Lisbon weekends sell out, and my bed was resold seconds after I left. Their inflexible refund approach seems shortsighted. I rarely write reviews this negative, but other women travelers should know I didn't find this place suitable for me. I hope the owners become more focused on guests' experience and less rigid. I chose the hostel because of its good reviews, especially the ones praising the friendly owners, but my experience was very different. Looking more closely, I noticed many positive reviews came from first-time reviewers, who may have been staff or friends rather than guests. The general facilities are good, but the rooms are tiny and crowded, mostly with men. There's no women's dorm, and as a woman traveling alone I didn't feel comfortable. Some people live there, which gives it a different feel from a hostel full of travelers.

It really felt like a big family, with respectful guests, and the owner was so helpful and sweet. Even the cheapest rooms are new, well equipped, and have comfortable beds. The location is brilliant, near the city center and lots of supermarkets. There's a big second-floor terrace where you can chill, plus two kitchens to sit in. A lovely spot to enjoy Lisbon. I'll definitely be back!

We'd go back. Our room was on the second of the two floors, with a large kitchen, a small bathroom with a toilet and sink, and a larger one with a toilet, sink, and shower. Everything was really clean, and staff were available if we had any problems. The location felt like we were up at Lisbon's highest point. There's a Lidl eight minutes away, and the sights are 30-40 minutes on foot. There's also a balcony for hanging wet clothes. By the way, the male employee was pretty cute.

The hostel was very clean and comfortable, and the guy at reception was friendly and helpful. Getting there takes some effort, though, as it's at the top and at least 400 meters uphill from the bus stop. There's a bus stop nearby, but buses don't run often. The metro station is about 800 meters away.

Some of our clothes went missing the day after we arrived. Staff only found them after we asked to see the CCTV and said we might contact the police. Before that, they had added another bed to our four-person dorm without telling us. The staff were rude, and even called booking to cancel our reservation. The rooms have no locks, so keep everything in the lockers. This seems to happen to guests regularly. There are plenty of other hostels in Lisbon, so be careful.
