We really enjoyed staying here. It's cosy and comfortable, and conveniently close to Ponta Delgada and the aeroport.

Such a stunning place, with everything you might need to feel at home away from home.

The location is the strongest part of Skybar. Inside, it's fairly well equipped and has interesting decor, but upkeep is clearly slipping. The apartment is bright during the day, though the kitchen has very little artificial light. The old dishwasher still works. There's a washing machine, but the area around it smells unpleasant from lack of maintenance. The bathroom needs attention too: the floor is broken, the faucets should be replaced, and the bathtub's shower screen feels unstable. There are no grab bars, and hot water has been an issue because the water heater hasn't been maintained. The wardrobe hinge is loose and screws are missing. The terrace looks lovely in photos but was half dismantled, and getting to it means using a very narrow spiral staircase. It's a shame to see the place gradually deteriorating. The accommodation has a lot going for it, but it needs more regular maintenance.
