Ajuda Palace Inn Lisbon

A friendly, clean and stylish place to stay in Belem.

The advertised facilities were misleading. Our building didn't connect directly to the garden and pool, so we had to go through another building, which was especially awkward with a child. When we raised these problems with management and asked for compensation, we got no proper response, refund, or authorized support. We arrived to find our room still being cleaned past check-in time. The entrance had no clear name or visible sign, so the building was hard to identify. Check-in also involved too many emails and web access steps, and the confirmation didn't even say which apartment number we had. For the high price and expected standard, this was disappointing. As a family visiting the city, we can't recommend this accommodation.

The airport taxi transfer worked perfectly, and check-in and check-out were seamless. The accommodation is near Ajuda Palace and Belém, with views of the Ajuda Botanical Garden, the St. Francis Bridge, and Christ the Redeemer statue. Room service was excellent, with dishes washed and beds made.

There’s a kitchen stocked with the necessary tableware, and they take care of the trash. Towels are changed if you leave a note. This is a short-term apartment rather than a hotel, in a three-story building south of the palace with a road between them. There’s no reception desk, and a digital key arrives by email shortly before your stay.
