The house was almost completely quiet inside, even though it sits on a busy tourist square with four restaurants within 100 meters. Entry is double locked with a digicode at both the gate and the apartment door. I’ve stayed in hundreds of VRBO and Air BnB apartments around the world, and this is one of the best. Good value, too. We spent 8 days in the lower level San Antonio apartment. It was immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed, a modern big bathroom, and a practical kitchen that even has a dishwasher.

The apartments are good, with nice bedrooms and a kitchen that works for 10 people. There’s just one odd thing in the bathroom: the water smells a little, maybe because of the heat. To get to Metro Moniz, you have to cross the block with residents… from …

The apartment is spacious, bright, and nicely decorated, and the kitchen has a large refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, toaster, and a full set of pots and pans. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, close to tram stops, and well located. But the place was dirty and smelled of cat urine. There was no internet or TV. When we arrived, there was an envelope on the table asking for about €50 in “city tax,” although I’d already paid it through Booking. We didn’t see the owner or manager for the whole week, and contact was through WhatsApp.

SoulHouse is right in Lisbon’s historic centre, with sights an easy walk away and restaurants, bars, and small shops nearby. The apartment is very clean and well maintained, and has everything needed in the kitchen. There’s plenty of space for two, including a dining table with two chairs and a small seating area with two armchairs. We enjoyed the stay a lot. The bathroom could use a few more towel hooks.
