The building felt reasonably secure, and the place itself was okay, but a lot of the cabinets and doors were loose or wouldn't shut properly. Even the fridge wobbled and looked as if it could tip. The internet was very weak, too. I also found Alfama hard to navigate: the narrow streets and heavy traffic made getting our bags to the Airbnb a hassle, and the street beside it was difficult for loading or collecting luggage from the car. It was my first time staying in this old part of Lisbon, though I'd visited the city before, and I didn't enjoy the experience.

The room was lovely, with nice furnishings, modern fixtures and a beautiful bathroom. The quiet courtyard and gated walls kept out the noise of the busy cobbled street. I'd definitely stay here again.

This was a horrible experience. The host was extremely rude and impatient, blamed me for making him late, and communication was very poor. I was told not to open the windows because it was "dangerous." The place is underground, so there was no natural light, and the heating stopped working after about 15 minutes. The host also didn't know how to use the AC. The main entrance looked like the first picture, if that's something you're after.

António checked us in and was so friendly and informative. The property was stunning and clean, with a timeless feel that I really loved. It's literally about 10 seconds from the tram station, and one of the best apartment stays I've had.
