Estrela de Arganil

The room was exceptionally small and didn’t even have a drinking glass. There’s no elevator, and all the stairs made the stay worse. The receptionist was unfriendly and couldn’t communicate in English. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever experienced.

The gentleman at reception on our last day was the only good part of the hotel. For one of our reservation days, we’d requested an extra person and had written acceptance, but the receptionist hadn’t received the letter. She kept insisting she didn’t speak English and wouldn’t listen. We were given a tiny room on the third floor, and the hairdryer shut off after 30 seconds. There weren’t even glasses or cups in the room. There were around sixty to seventy stairs, and we had to carry our luggage up by ourselves. One of the worst experiences of my stay.

Nice hotel, good room and excellent staff. It’s very close to two metro stations, with lots of Halal food options within walking distance.

The staff were friendly, the sheets clean, and the room had the basics: beds and a shower. But street noise was loud, and big gaps around the windows or doors made it feel almost like sleeping with the windows open. There’s no elevator, so avoid bringing heavy bags if you can. You’ll have to climb the stairs.
