The welcome pack and really good service made us feel looked after. The apartment was roomy, with high ceilings, lovely furnishings, a comfortable bed and pillows, and a generous shower. The Smeg appliances were high quality, too. We came away feeling it had surpassed what we expected, and would happily recommend it.

We had a great time in Lisbon and would happily book Ando again, whether we’re back here or visiting Porto or Istanbul. The apartment felt thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed. A note if you’re traveling with kids or are sensitive to noise: there’s a bar next door that gets very busy on Saturdays. The other days were quiet, and with the windows shut we were fine.

The apartment was mostly very nice and clearly had been refurbished recently, though some finishing details were off. The bedside lights weren’t securely attached, and cupboards held a lot of cables and electrical devices. The bigger problem was the power. We had surges, and an electrician came to fix them, but on our last night we returned to find no electricity at all. They didn’t answer our calls and couldn’t send anyone, so we had to pack in total darkness, at our son’s bedtime, and cross town to a less nice apartment. It cost us our final night in Lisbon and spoiled the end of our holiday. The service then was poor and slow, with little sympathy; some things we were told were lies, and at times we felt blamed.

The apartment’s high ceilings and elegant style stood out, along with the thoughtful details and comfortable furniture. It was nice to have a large TV, coffee provided and windows that kept the sound out.
