Getting into the apartment was easy, and the staff were quick and effortless to communicate with. I liked the furnishings and quality amenities, plus the welcome wine, pillow spray, good coffee, Marshall speaker, ceramics and wine glasses. But I have mixed feelings about apartment 402, and would hesitate to return. The bedrooms were quite different. One was bright and pleasant, with a window that opened. The other looked onto interior walls, with constant air conditioner noise. Opening its window wasn’t an option because strong smells came from Starbucks and other nearby restaurants. Both rooms had AC units, but there was just one remote, which was inconvenient at night. Cleanliness also fell short. There was mold under the shower, which housekeeping removed, and the air conditioners were dirty and smelly. Those were fixed too, but shouldn’t have been issues in the first place. The mattress and pillows weren’t comfortable. The pillows were very high and seemed squeezed into cases that were too small. The mattress was okay for one person, but with two of us, every movement could be felt. The Wi-Fi was very poor. If you’re planning to work remotely, you’ll need your own internet connection. The administration tried to fix it but didn’t succeed. I’d gladly stay at Ando Living again, as long as a good night’s sleep wasn’t the tradeoff.
