Being able to walk to lots of places was a real plus, and the late-night check-in was handled quickly by welcoming, friendly staff. The bathroom was roomy and nicely updated, too. Our room, though, had a sharply sloping ceiling that cut down the usable space a lot, and I bumped my head a few times. Maybe that layout is specific to our room, but check the room type if low ceilings might bother you.

Pedro, the Guest Relations Manager, deserves a special mention. He was exceptionally helpful, and his walk through the streets of Lisbon around the hotel was lovely and full of interesting information. Everyone we met was kind and charming. We spent six nights here, with a spotless, spacious and beautiful room and a great shower. Breakfast was superb, and the location was excellent. We had a fantastic stay.

We couldn't make it to the free daily neighborhood tour because of our schedule, but it's a lovely extra for visitors exploring Lisbon. The hotel is in a touristy area, which suited us fine since the old town and most of the main sights were easy to reach. Our room felt new, was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were prompt, polite and friendly, including whenever we asked for more drinking water. The shower pressure was great, and breakfast had a fresh, generous spread with helpful staff. Highly recommend!

Pedro made our stay especially joyful with his warm, charismatic manner and personal touch. His walking tour is well worth taking. The hotel was our first stop on a two-week European trip and ended up being our favorite. It’s centrally placed for getting to lots of interesting historic sites, and the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. We’ll definitely return, especially to see Pedro again! ❤️

The small thoughtful touches stood out, from umbrellas when we needed them to unlimited Nespresso. Service at Hotel da Baixa was attentive and caring throughout, and the stay felt both comfortable and welcoming. If you're coming to Lisbon, I'd happily recommend it.
