Bairro Alto Views by Homing

The place is in a lovely location, with a nice view and a comfortable bed, and the apartment has been renovated well. But for the price, I don't think it was good value. The bathroom smelled really bad, apparently because of a problem with the pipes. There wasn't anything I could do as a guest. I found dust, hair in the coffee mugs, and greasy marks on the bedside table, even though the apartment seemed clean at first. I was there in December. The living room, kitchen, and toilet downstairs got cold, sometimes it felt warmer outside. The AC warmed the upstairs bedroom nicely, but going downstairs was unpleasant. The poor insulation also meant street noise came through, especially at night. The couch was broken. I reported it and was told they would deal with it, but later Booking.com reviews still said it hadn't been fixed. There's no elevator, and the stairs are narrow and steep. That was fine for me, though it could be unpleasant with larger or heavier luggage.
