Bairro House Lisbon Charming Suites

The interiors were modern and stylish, and also clean and comfortable. We loved how lively the central location was at night, though it could be noisy if that's not your thing. It's close to the best spots and the train station. Great value for the price, with absolutely no complaints. I'd come back, and I don't say that often!

We checked in early, which was nice, but there wasn't much service to comment on. The room was comfortable, though there was no closet or storage. It's right over lively bars on the corner and across the street, with a young, drunk crowd out late. If getting sleep matters to you, don't stay here.

The bathroom drain needs attention, there was a really bad smell coming from it. The room itself was okay and the bed was comfortable. This isn't actually a hotel, it's a walk-up flat converted into rooms. It's up on the hill in the middle of all the Bairro Alto pubs and restaurants. It was okay overall, but nowhere near as spacious or comfortable as a hotel room.

Even on a Tuesday and Wednesday in November, outside the busy tourist season, people were partying in the nearby bars until 2-3 am. There's a bar on the ground floor of the building too. Unless that kind of nightlife suits you, I'd look in another area. Our room was on the top floor and was nice, but the noise made the stay miserable. We hardly slept during our two workweek nights there.
