The hostel's one big plus for me was how close it is to the sightseeing areas. Otherwise, it was just an okay stay, and I don't think I'll return. I spent three nights in an eight-person room, and the setup felt cramped. The beds were lower and shorter than at other European hostels I've used, and they're close together. If two people try to open the drawers underneath from opposite sides at once, they can't. Each bed has two USB ports but no regular plug, so USB-C charging won't work. The bedding and pillow were extremely thin, and there was nowhere to hang clothes. There was only one kitchen, which hardly anyone used while I was there, and no real common area to meet people. The bathroom was tiny, with just one on each floor, so I can imagine it gets busy in summer when the rooms fill up. It felt like a low-cost downtown apartment converted into a hostel. The location was questionable for me: I saw homeless people and drug addicts nearby, along with what I considered questionable immigrants. Sirens kept going through the night. Although I'm a guy, walking toward the old town made me feel unsafe, and I questioned my decision to stay more than once.

I wouldn't stay here again because I didn't feel comfortable in the area at night, even though the main area was only about a 20-minute walk away. The hostel itself was very clean, and the breakfast was generous for the price. I had a comfortable, nicely furnished private room with its own bathroom and balcony, which I really enjoyed. The room also had a desk and clothing rack, and the bathroom was excellent.

The hostel itself is good, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, a good shower, nice staff, and a solid setup. There are several restaurants and bars around, though the neighborhood didn't feel as welcoming as other parts of Lisbon. I wouldn't recommend breakfast from the cafe on the first floor. The croissant was the worst I've ever had, and it took more than 20 minutes to get the plate, which had one slice of cheese, one slice of fiambre, and a sliced banana. The machine coffee was so burnt I couldn't even finish it.

The room was clean and had fresh bedding whenever I came back from a day out in Lisbon. Great location in the heart of the city, close to everything. Possibly the best hostel around. I'll be back someday. Thanks!

We had friendly staff and daily room cleaning, which were definite positives. The ventilation fan in our private bathroom barely worked, though the shared bathroom was much better. The location had good and bad sides. We could walk to many sightseeing spots, but there were lots of people using drugs or sitting in the street, and I felt unsafe walking alone at night. During our four-night stay, I woke several times around 1-2 a.m. to people screaming outside, even with earplugs.
