Boavista 83 Hostel Lisbon

I stayed over Easter by myself in a four-bed female dorm. The hostel looks beautiful and design-focused, and the staff are very friendly. Its spot on Rua da Boavista makes it easy to explore Lisbon on foot or get around by tram, bus, or metro. The dorm was spacious and nicely laid out, with room to open luggage and get ready. It got good daylight, and the curtains helped make it dark when I wanted. I also liked being able to choose whichever bed was available instead of having a set top or bottom bunk. The ensuite bathroom was roomy and had great shower pressure, but there wasn’t much storage there either. Practical details could be better. There were only two hooks for the whole room, very few other hangers, and no shelves or surfaces for belongings. The lockers under the beds were small and awkward, so I’d bring extra hooks if you have any. The hostel didn’t seem to arrange events, which may make it less social for solo travelers, though the staff create a welcoming atmosphere. I skipped breakfast because of the price, but it looked high quality. Comfortable and stylish overall, just short on handy storage.

The staff were sweet and ready to help with directions, recommendations, or even technical issues with the television. We did have trouble with it one night, when the hostel was at full capacity. The private room was roomy enough for two, simply decorated but functional, with bright, clean colors. The bathroom was well lit and had a hair dryer, good water pressure, and a comfortable temperature. Two windows opened onto a small balcony. It’s a brand new hostel in a lively part of town, within walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants. The lobby and common spaces were kept very tidy. There’s a restaurant, though it only serves breakfast.

The room was clean and had more space than I expected for a four-bed dorm, so it never felt cramped. They provide a towel and everything else you need. Staff were lovely and welcoming, and the location made it easy to get around and close to everything. I had a really comfortable stay and would recommend it!

Everything was super clean, and the staff pointed me toward nearby places to eat. The room was spacious, peaceful, and had a beautiful outlook. I especially liked the nice-smelling soap and lotion in the bathroom. Thank you Felipa, Angel Rafael, Kathia and Aldara for making my stay so good. The decor was beautiful, and being right in the middle of the city made for a great stay. I’d definitely come back.
