The terrace lounge looks out over Castelo de São Jorge, lit up at night, and gives Costa do Castelo Terrace its name. Rua dos Lagares 8 is right in the city center, near Martim Moniz and Graça. We stayed there last week and found the apartment solid and fully equipped. The owners are very friendly, attentive to artistic details, and always ready with information. It’s in the heart of the Indian Quarter, with Alfama, Rossio, the main shopping streets, and large central squares such as Praça Dom Pedro IV and Praça da Figueira nearby. Highly recommended!

Thierry was helpful and supportive, which made my time in lovely Lisbon easy and enjoyable. I liked the apartment’s design, decor and furniture. The kitchen is small but works fine for informal meals. The wifi was reliable, and I was glad to have a hairdryer. The location is excellent, close to the Metro, the 28 tram, restaurants and shops. It takes some getting used to the local cobblestone roads, especially after rain, but that’s part of being in the older part of Lisbon.

The apartment smells really bad and needs lots of repairs. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the main square. They’re very strict about check-in after 3pm and checkout before 10am. Arriving late at night also comes with a $30 euros surcharge.
