My room, number 2, was noisier than I expected. The trolley runs right below, and you can hear it and feel the vibrations. Other guests on the stairs are audible too, so bring earplugs. The small, tight layout also didn’t seem kid-friendly to me. I’m not against kids, but I think they should consider which spaces work for them. If you want more room to lounge, the other DL space just around the corner is comfortable. The location is great, and the historic building’s compact rooms were something I already knew about. Staff were kind, communicative and ready to help. My neighborhood favorite was Cafe Boavida, where I caught live jazz and had a really tasty tartine.

We really liked this small hotel. It’s tucked on a quiet street, but the funicular 28 is just steps away. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea, coffee and lemon water are available in the downstairs lounge. Breakfast was delicious, with generous portions and something for everyone. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Daniela was especially courteous, friendly and helpful, and the hotel is conveniently next to tram line 28. It’s a charming place with just six rooms, each furnished individually and beautifully. Everything was clean, rooms were cleaned daily, and breakfast was good quality. We’d gladly come back.
