Elegant 2 Bedroom Apartment in Iconic Alfama!

We found the place cramped and tense for everyone staying there, and the price was outrageous for what it offered. Cockroaches, grime, and a general sense of neglect greeted us, with a tiny, dirty, impractical kitchen and loose cables across the floor. The mattresses were moldy and dirty too. The street smelled of sardines all day. Getting up the stairs was uncomfortable and unsafe: they were steep, narrow, and had no lighting. The apartment looked nothing like the booking photos. It was a very negative experience that nearly ruined our vacation.
