Estrela Park BnB

The air felt terrible, and cockroaches were everywhere. The bathrooms were full of hair, while everything in the kitchen was sticky and filthy. We had to scrub every dish with baking soda before using it. I called the owner to ask for the bathrooms to be cleaned, for toilet paper since there was none, and for the trash to be taken out right away. The bathrooms were never cleaned during our stay, and the kitchen was awful too. They emptied one trash bin but left another beside it, and only brought enough toilet paper for a single day. Never, ever go into this disgusting place.

The location is good, and the evening view of the bay is lovely. It's a typical BnB, with a German woman as the owner who keeps things tidy, while the place still has a Portuguese feel. One odd thing: there's a mirror covering the wall at the end of the corridor, and in the dim light you can think for a split second that someone's walking toward you :)

Everything was just perfect, apart from the rooms not being very heated.

Cozy and well located, this was the best hostel I've stayed in across Europe.
