Hotel Excelsior

The location is decent, and the clean room and sheets were changed every day. The rest really wasn't acceptable by European standards. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom sink is the smallest I've ever seen, and the bathroom isn't separated from the bedroom. Breakfast was the same every day and too crowded. Hot water felt like a luxury, and the elevator stopped every now and then.

We were in room 312 from 15th to 22nd August 2025 for our Birthday week in Lisbon, and it was a great experience. The metro is a two minute walk away, in an exclusive area with a lovely park and designer shops nearby. The hotel impressed me, and the staff were super friendly. Cleaners came every day, and the room stayed spotless. I'll stay here again. Our room had a double bed, two sofa beds, a little fridge for drinks with glasses, and A/C. The bathroom was spacious, with a bath and shower, a window, hairdryer, sink, and overhead mirror. Breakfast included bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese, salami, ham, cakes, fruit, juices, tea, and coffee.

The location is good, and although the place is a little dated, some staff are friendly and helpful. But other guests, including children, and male night staff shouted through the night. It was chaotic and hard to sleep.

Money and jewelry were stolen from my hotel room. I told reception twice, but they only paid attention after I called the police. I felt violated and humiliated, and I don't recommend this place. To whoever took my things and the people who ignored the problem, I hope karma catches up with you!
