Ey Lisbon Hostel

Everything in the room, bathroom, and kitchen was clean and well organized. The receptionist was welcoming, and I got all the check-in instructions before I arrived. The location is handy, with groceries, restaurants, and cafes nearby. It’s a 15-minute walk to the city centre and a 30-minute drive to the airport. Definitely worth the price.

The bus stop is right outside, with a souvenir and clothing shop next door, and local shops are under ten minutes away. Restaurants aren't especially close, though. We felt safe and slept comfortably in this charming hostel building, which has a lift. The common room is open, the kitchen has decent space, and everything was very clean. Showers always had hot water. The staff were okay, and it could use two more fridges and at least one freezer. Keep an eye on the health and safety features. And those hills! Lisbon's famous seven felt more like 777. Whichever way you turn, it's steep. Wear comfortable trainers; heels are a bad idea on the mostly cobbled or tiled, slippery pavements.

Breakfast had fresh bread and fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, butter, and jam, and was good quality for the price. Everything was very clean, and there were plenty of showers and balconies. Four of us shared an eight-person room just among ourselves, which worked out great. It was my first hostel stay and I loved it. The one snag was breakfast starting at 8:30. We had training at 9, so we had to rush.

There are supermarkets nearby, handy for buying groceries and saving money by cooking your own meals. The hostel has what you need to be comfortable, and the staff are nice. With the metro station and several bus stops close by, getting around Lisbon is easy.
