Hotel Flamingo

The hotel’s in a great spot for getting around on foot, and the Metro and buses are close too. It was quiet at night despite that, and our room was fairly tidy, though a little worn. The shower was awful, just ice-cold water. We complained, but nothing changed. Renovation work was noisy as well.

The neighborhood was pleasant and easy to walk around, and the price was good. Staff were kind, check-in and checkout both went smoothly, and we had no other problems. The rooms were a decent size, though the bathroom was small. The place felt older than we expected from the online photos, and the lift was a little scary.

The mattress was comfortable, but the rest of the stay was a mess. The rooms feel dated, the shower had hardly any pressure, and for the last two days there was no hot water. There’s a phone in the room, but no one tells you which numbers reach reception or housekeeping. Breakfast was the biggest problem. It costs quite a bit extra, yet the eggs were cold and the bacon barely cooked and cold too. There was only one kind of bread and some sliced cheese. The breakfast is apparently run by an outside company, and staff were rarely around, so you had to set your own table. They don’t serve lunch or dinner either. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

The room was clean and tidy, and the staff were polite. It was nice to have fruit, but the room itself was average. The shower and sink had such weak pressure that washing took ages, and the fried eggs weren’t very tasty. The cleaner left a damp towel behind, which was a shame. The hair dryer looked older than my mom)) Still, it’s an okay place to stay.
