The people were kind and always ready to help, though communication was hard because they only speak Portuguese. Arroios metro station is about five minutes away, so the location is okay. Our room had a private bathroom but no air conditioning. It seemed you couldn't get both. The rooms with AC had no windows, while the one with a window had a small one high up on the wall that was hard to reach. Evenings were hot and noisy, and you could hear machines running around 3-4 am.

The whole place was old and falling apart. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, holes in the walls, and black fungus on the walls in every shower room. Some rooms had a bidet but no toilet. The sanitary conditions were off the charts, just awful.

A cozy hotel with a warm, attentive hostess and small rooms that were neat and very clean. We hadn't expected breakfast, but it was included in our rate. A perfect spot on a small budget.

You can rent a room by the hour. Handy for me, since I change girlfriends three times a day. 🤣🤣🤣

There was a basin and bidet in the tiny room, but no toilet seat.
