The location is the main reason to stay here, a 5/5 for that. The staff were generally okay, and the room was cleaned and towels changed daily, but service and rooms were 2/5 at best. The room felt basic and in need of serious work: walls need paint, damaged or damp wooden fixtures should be checked, and there was moisture on the walls and in the shower. The bed was okay, but the pillows need replacing. The bathroom was extremely narrow, especially where the toilet and faucet shared a wall, and it was hard to move in the WC. The shower was also due for renovation. There was an unpleasant smell, possibly from the sewage system. Breakfast was average to poor. It starts at 7:30, but some food wasn’t ready then, so you had to wait for eggs or bacon if you were in a hurry. The woman at breakfast, who appeared to be Asian, was rude and unfriendly for no clear reason. You really pay for the location here.

The reception team were warm, professional and ready to help. They handled our left luggage seamlessly while we took a short trip to Morocco. The hotel sits right in the shopping district, yet somehow feels peaceful and tucked away from the crowds. I thought the pillows could be better, and a couple of bottles of water in the room would have helped. Still, it was comfortable and good value for money. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, highly recommended.

The beds were fairly firm, the rooms basic but fine, and the shower was tight. At about £85 a night for this location, though, we thought it was absolutely fine. The location is definitely the big win. I wouldn’t necessarily stay again, mainly because there are lots of similar hotels, but there’s no reason not to book. Everything was pretty standard. Fine is the word of the day.

Please, please don’t stay here. The place is awful, run down and the rooms are tiny. The bathroom is so cramped I had to sit sideways on the toilet, with hardly any gap beside the shower. Once in the shower, it was almost impossible to move. Breakfast was gross. They said they’d refund it, but that hasn’t happened. I’ve chased them many, many times and either get no reply or the same message: “Good morning, your request was redirected to the Reservations Department.” That means nothing. It’s been over two months since this supposedly nonexistent Reservations Department took over. It was the same while staying there, no one could deal with an issue, so problems don’t get resolved. And it’s not even cheap.
