Legendary Lisboa Suites

The suites have plenty of space and a separate living area, and the bedding was the highlight, soft and luxurious. The mattress was only okay. The rooms are older and need updating, with things looking a bit banged up. I was on the seventh floor facing the pool, and it was fairly quiet apart from normal noise from upstairs. The bedroom AC was loud enough that I turned it off at night, while the living room unit could heat the whole suite adequately. There were some odd design details: the hand soap was far across the wall from the sink, and although there were soap dishes in two spots, no bars of soap were provided. They feel like leftovers from the past that the hotel could have updated. When I first entered, there was no electricity. Someone had tampered with the main electrical board, but the front desk person came up with me and got it working again. There’s ample free parking in the underground garage. I didn’t try breakfast. It was an average stay, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel again in Lisbon.

The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and all spoke English. The rooms are fairly large depending on what you book, though our bathroom was very tight and small. The pool and surrounding area are great in hot weather, and the balcony was terrific. Air conditioning was a real plus too. Watch your step on the composite pool deck, though, as it has plenty of warping and cracks and gets very hot to walk on when it’s warm. The hotel is well placed in the business district. Downtown is a bit of a trek, around a 20-25 minute walk, but there’s a metro nearby. There are also lots of local cafes and places to eat, at local rather than downtown prices. I’d definitely stay again.

We spent seven nights here on our Lisbon trip and couldn’t fault the hotel. The room was clean, and housekeeping did a high standard of cleaning each day and replaced the towels. The beds were really comfortable too. We had a lovely balcony where we could sit and watch the planes coming in to land. The pool area was peaceful and lovely, and the pool felt a decent size. It’s a 20-25 minute walk to the centre, which didn’t bother us. We’d definitely stay again.

A lovely Lisbon hotel, with very spacious rooms and a beautiful pool. Breakfast was nicely done, the staff were friendly, and the WiFi worked great. I’d highly recommend staying here.
