The staff really cared about their guests and went the extra mile for us. The place is a short downhill walk from the city center, beside all the shops and restaurants in Bairro Alto, which honestly has the best food. It’s also very quiet at night. The rooms are large, beautiful and fully furnished. Like others have mentioned, another shelf in the bathroom would have been useful. This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in, and we’d stay here again if we return to Lisbon. Highly recommend this aparthotel.

There’s plenty happening nearby in central Lisbon, but dropping luggage at the hotel is a real challenge. The recommended partner parking is quite far away. The rooms are fairly small, and daily cleaning isn’t included, though you can pay extra for it. The bathroom was the biggest problem by far. I spend 70 nights a year in hotels, and this was the most dysfunctional bathroom I’ve ever used. The layout seems designed by someone who hasn’t tried it. There’s no counter space or useful shelving on the walls or in the shower, so there’s nowhere for toiletries or to take soap and shampoo into the shower. We had to put a chair in the small bathroom and use it as a shelf to manage. They provide liquid hand soap and shower gel, so you may want to bring bar soap and shampoo. The entry code won’t work before check-in, but it expires before checkout. Be careful not to get locked out, as happened to us.

There’s no front desk or staff on site, and everything is handled electronically and on a self-service basis. If you need real guest support, keep that in mind. The room was spacious, but that was about the only positive. The sofa bed was unstable and uncomfortable. The walls had scratches and several stains, and the bathroom was worn and beat-up. It looked nothing like the clean, modern place in the photos. Total catfish. We stayed four nights and were supposed to get three breakfasts, one each morning except arrival day. We received only two. The breakfast itself was poorly organized, arrived at random times, and they apparently just enter the room to leave it if you’re out. It didn’t taste good, so we weren’t too bothered about missing the last one, even though we’d paid for it. The Airbnb listing showed a beautiful terrace with a city view, which was the reason we upgraded. In reality there was no view at all, just surrounding buildings and other residents on every side. For $200 a night, we expected some kind of view. It felt very misleading and was a huge disappointment. Other Airbnbs and hotels in this price range would have been MUCH better. This was our first stop in Lisbon, and we wanted a comfortable start to the trip, but the stay brought the experience down. We wouldn’t stay again or recommend it. And here’s our so-called “beautiful terrace with a view.” I’m sure they’ll give the usual “subject to availability upon arrival” reply, but if it can’t be guaranteed, guests shouldn’t be charged extra to upgrade for it. At best, it feels misleading. If you’re considering booking, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

The listing says “Room with terrace and view,” but the terrace we got was at the back, enclosed by other apartments. It looked nothing like the photos or description, which can be misleading. Their usual reply was, “Oh, we are sorry, we are full today!”
