O Bigode do Rato is a small, friendly B&B in Rato, right by the Metro and a few bus stops. Getting into central Lisbon is easy, and you can walk there too if you don’t mind the distance. The place is a former apartment, with four separate bedrooms, a shared area for breakfast, and a kitchen guests can use for cooking. There are two shared bathrooms with showers. Everything was clean and well looked after, and the woman running it was very helpful and friendly. It’s on a busy road, but with the windows shut you can barely hear the traffic. There’s no air-conditioning, though the breeze is usually cool and pleasant.
