The space is a little smaller than some other guesthouses, but it’s decorated in a warm, comfortable way. There’s a small kitchenette for cooking, and at check-in they even provided a phone to use free of charge, which was really thoughtful. The custard tart they provided was delicious too. The old-fashioned elevator is super fun. At night, don’t use the remote to turn off the lights, since it cuts the power to everything and my phone wasn’t charged by morning. Turn the lights off manually instead. The metro is just one block away, and there’s a supermarket nearby.

The apartment has a balcony and a well-equipped kitchen for breakfast or a light lunch: microwave, capsule coffee machine, kettle, pans, pots, fridge, electric stove, toaster, and blender. There’s also a big wardrobe, comfortable beds, sofa, coffee table, pouffes, a balcony table, hairdryer, and towel rack. The apartments are separate from a larger apartment, and there’s an elevator up to the fifth floor. The walls are rather thin, so louder conversations from neighbors carry through. Shops, restaurants, and the metro are close. Staff were approachable and very helpful.

Nuno greeted us when we arrived and was extremely kind. The apartment was modern, clean, and well looked after, with the metro only a two-minute walk away. Highly recommended!

Everything you need for a few days in the city is in this studio apartment in the Saldhana neighborhood. It was clean, the staff were incredibly friendly, and getting to the city center by metro or bus was easy. They also left us a welcome gift when we arrived.
