I had a very satisfying stay at the hotel.
Prices are usually really good, though every now and then there's an odd place charging way too much. The people are genuine. I stayed in the old town, and the graffiti is easy to ignore.
Such a lovely, romantic spot!
I liked the apartment's character and the carefully designed, beautiful interior. Since it's in Lisbon's old district, you can wander a different way each time and take in all the interesting buildings. The staff were warm and helpful, and there are lots of cafes and restaurants close by. The metro takes about 10 minutes to reach on foot, while the city center is a 15-20 minute walk. There isn't much storage for clothes or luggage, just one closet and a couple of hangers. Looks seem to have won over practicality here. Once the sofa is unfolded, there's almost no room left. You can't get a taxi to the apartment itself, only to a nearby street in the old district, so you'll need to haul your suitcases up those tall stairs :-) There aren't any big shops nearby either, just a small Pakistani shop with high prices, though it stays open late.
The air conditioning didn't work properly, though the rest was clean and very well equipped. The apartment was beautifully decorated and its location near the Fado Museum was fantastic, with lots of Lisbon's must-see spots within walking distance.
