The location made it easy to explore Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods on foot, and the price and quality felt like a great combination. We spent three nights at Olissippo Castelo as part of a Spain and Portugal trip. Our top-floor standard room was spacious, very clean, and had a fantastic view. I imagine most rooms have a nice view, given the hotel's position just below the walls of Castelo Sao Jorge. A couple of USB charging ports would've been useful, though we managed with our adapter and battery packs. The staff were responsive and knew a lot about local sights and especially restaurants. The hotel has a bar but serves breakfast only. Waleed answered my parking questions by email before we arrived, and suggested restaurants we really enjoyed for their food and atmosphere. He also booked tables for us. The hotel is on a restricted-traffic street with only a couple of parking spaces on site, so keep that in mind if driving. Luis helped me arrange laundry after we arrived. Waleed, Luis, and the rest of the staff added a lot to our stay.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely terrace balcony and a stunning city view. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of options. I'd definitely recommend it.

The views were amazing, and the hotel is well placed for getting to many parts of the city. We had a wonderful stay at Olissippo Hotel, with friendly and very professional staff.

Do not stay here. The hotel smelled so bad that I had trouble breathing and left before my stay was over. It doesn't feel like a four-star hotel, or even a three-star one. Breakfast was gross, with powdered eggs and old pastries. The place is completely misrepresented online and in the reviews.

The hotel was a nice older place, though it was a bit out of the way. Breakfast was the same old stuff you find everywhere.
