The apartment was unbearably hot and humid because the air conditioning didn’t work at all. A technician sent by the property confirmed it was broken, but they offered no fix, alternative room, or help, and we were left in conditions that felt impossible to stay in. When we arrived, the shower area was flooded and the bathroom floor was covered in water, which seemed to point to a serious maintenance issue. The apartment had been completely misrepresented. This was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. It isn’t as described, isn’t properly maintained, and isn’t suitable for guests. I find it unacceptable that it’s listed on Booking.com. I strongly advise future

The location and the view were fantastic, and the replacement room we eventually got was nice and clean. But we’d booked for three, and the single sofa bed was very uncomfortable and had bed bugs. My daughter was covered in bites. When we complained, they denied having bed bugs and said they had no room for us, though we did get moved in the end. The kitchen cabinets were damaged and not suitable for cooking.

I booked at the last minute, and since I don’t know Lisbon very well, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It felt like good value in a really good part of town. I was on my own, but the room would have been enough for a couple. From the top floor I had a pretty nice view over the St. George Castle. By the way, it isn’t an ancient castle, it was built in the 1960s to look like one.

We were two adults with two toddlers in a four-person apartment, and it worked very well for us. It was clean and tidy, with the basic amenities and not many things for the toddlers to break or fiddle with. Each room had its own cooling unit, which was great in the summer heat. There’s an elevator to the higher floors, though you do need to climb the first flight of stairs. The place is central for the metro, riverfront, Rossio square, restaurants, and shops, all within walking distance. We had a great experience and nothing to complain about. I’ll come back whenever I’m in Lisbon.
