I especially liked the lounge, where you can spend time with other travelers or just unwind on your own. The place has a cool style, with great art on the walls, and it's close to local bars and restaurants. The kitchen felt just like home, the bathroom was fantastic, and the beds were cozy. Everything was clean and modern. I loved staying here, met some amazing people, and got a really good rest. Highly recommend.

Several months after my stay, my €500 refundable deposit still hadn't been returned. I sent many messages to the email and phone number they use for the day-to-day business, but the owners of Pensao Rosinha did not send the money back. I had stayed at 54 Rua Quintinha for a second time in early 2023, partly because I thought Camila and Paulo ran a decent business. The room in the shared apartment in Sao Bento was okay, though a little shabby. I was on friendly terms with Paulo, tried to help with the apartment, and even left a present for the cleaners. It's deeply disappointing to feel that they took money from a good customer who writes about Portugal.

The welcome was excellent, and the pension is just a few steps from Chiado, handy for nightlife. It was clean, with two showers, a shared kitchen, and a shared lounge. I did find it too expensive.

You're only a few minutes on foot from Santos train station, with Time Out market and Cais do Sodré a little farther along. The place is clean, central, and has a spacious interior. Great location.
