The rooms were clean, with simple but thoughtful furnishings, and the shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly. We also found the kitchen facilities good. It's in a safe residential area, a few minutes' walk from Benfica station, with trains north to Sintra or south to Rossio. There are good local places to eat nearby. We've booked to come back.

The host was lovely, shared tips on what to see, and communicated really well. We stayed a few nights and found the room a good size, with everything you'd need from a guesthouse. The kitchen is shared with the other room, but that wasn't a problem. There was some black mold, though I think that's hard to avoid in this climate with the ocean so close. Benfica train station is nearby, with easy connections to the city center, airport, and Sintra. There's also a bus stop close by for Belém and Cascais.

A cozy yellow house in a peaceful area, with the train station nearby. You can reach the city center in eight minutes. Parque Florestal de Monsanto is close too, a nice place for a jog or a quiet walk.
