The host really cares about guests, which was a lovely bonus. There are good restaurants nearby, and the metro is about five minutes away with a bus stop right outside. It's a great base for exploring Alfama and soaking up its atmosphere, as well as seeing Lisbon. Highly recommend it!

8/10
The location is handy, close to everything, and there are very good restaurants on the street. Jorge met us and went over everything using a map. The bedding was very good. The apartment faces a street above a noisy restaurant, and the neighbors were loud late at night, so bring earplugs. The bathroom had a musty smell and dim lighting. The stairs are steep and have no handrail.
