SANA Malhoa Hotel

The one thing that spoils the bar area for me is the cigarette and cigar smell. The outdoor-style space has lovely greenery and wooden furniture, and connects through one door to the main bar and then the restaurant. Both years I've visited, the smoke smell has taken over even wherever I sit inside. It takes away from a very cozy, thoughtfully designed bar and the airy breakfast room. Otherwise, fab! I've had late-night check-ins both this year and last year, not by choice, and the hotel is an okay Uber ride from the airport. The staff are happy to see you even at 11 pm, and a free welcome drink is a lovely touch. The room is big and comfortable, with a working coffee machine that also gives hot water for tea. This year there were even three mini pastel de natas waiting for me. The huge bath went unused because I didn't have time, but the shower was great, with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided. You can open the window for fresh air too. Late checkout is my favorite part. Even after arriving late, I can go to the gym in the morning, enjoy the amazing breakfast, and check out comfortably. Thanks, team!

The hotel and rooms were nice and comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend it because the service was poor. We returned at 4 pm and the room still hadn't been cleaned. The front desk staff weren't friendly, and made us feel like we were bothering them.

I felt so grateful and blessed to stay here 🙏. Everything was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The food was delicious, and our rooms were comfortable and cleaned. I absolutely loved the hotel and would highly recommend it.

The staff were kind, very helpful, and fluent in English. Breakfast was simple but good, with fresh fruit always available, and the gym was okay, with a few options and free weights. The hotel itself always looked clean, and the room was nice. But there was a clump of hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived, and the cleaners seemed to leave the tissue box empty instead of replacing it. I had a good stay, though the rooms could have been cleaner.
