There’s lots of choice for food nearby, and Pink Street is close if you’re heading out at night. My room didn’t have a kettle, but you can make tea or coffee on the ground floor. I had an amazing stay here and would absolutely recommend it.

The location is very gentrified, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but prices are extremely high and it feels touristy. The metro is a 10-15 minute walk. It was sold as a hostel, and that’s the main problem since it wasn’t what I paid for. It has also disappeared from Hostelworld. The social areas, kitchen, terrace, bar, breakfast, coworking and other facilities are closed, there are no events, and not even a coffee machine. Some parts of the beautiful building look abandoned. Honestly, it feels a bit spectral, like they’re trying to get money out of it before closing. The room was sort of clean. The woman at reception was kind and professional, but she was the only staff member I saw.

The staff were friendly and apologetic when they moved us to a new room the next day, but I wouldn’t come back. Our window wouldn’t shut on the first night, and they’d overbooked our private room, so someone walked in during the night. The bar wasn’t open, and the yoga studio shown in the pictures wasn’t there either. It apparently hadn’t been open for a while. If you want a fun, social hostel, this isn’t the place.

At 1:00am, while writing this, I could hear a faulty building sensor going off every minute. I went down to ask what was happening, and the night staff member said it was faulty and he’d called someone who would hopefully arrive in another hour. I understand there are fewer people available to fix problems in the middle of the night, but there should be a way to override or silence it. That makes the night person’s job harder, sure, but keeping guests awake isn’t acceptable. I’m not pleased with this stay. The shower drain also took until my last day to get fixed. For the first two days, the water pooled up like a bathtub. We’d expected the rooftop bar to be open during our stay, and the booking didn’t mention construction. We only found out when we arrived. Staff said it would be under construction until sept 2026. My group chose this hostel partly for that, so check with the staff before booking if the bar matters to you.
