There are plenty of shops and convenience stores nearby, and the metro is about a 10-minute walk away. Getting to the city center takes roughly half an hour on foot. The location worked well for the price. The bed was much more comfortable than I expected, though the room itself was a little small and the furniture felt dated. It could use some updating. Outside noise came through because the windows didn’t seal perfectly, so noise-sensitive guests may want to request a quieter room from reception ahead of time. A comfortable enough choice for a short Lisbon stay, with a few things that could be improved.

The front desk staff were really helpful, and one woman even gave me her old phone charger when I didn’t have one. The room was spacious and clean, and I had no trouble charging my phone beside the bed. I was on the fourth floor and didn’t have any noise issues. There’s a sound system in the room that you can switch off, which may help with the music some people mention from a “bar.” There are nice places to eat on the same block, and the metro is close by. I’d happily recommend staying here.

We got there around 9 a.m. and asked if we could get into the room around noon, but they said no and had us wait for the standard check-in time. I’d emailed two months ahead because we’d be arriving after a long flight and I have a significant medical condition, hoping they might know if a room would be free early. The first email got no reply. When I followed up three weeks before arrival, they quoted 150€ because they’d have to hold the room from the previous day. I declined and planned to ask when we arrived. There was only one outlet in the room, by the front door. The bathroom was damp, missing caulk around the shower, and had a roach in it. I showed the front desk a video so they’d know. The reception staff also came across as unfriendly and standoffish. I don’t recall seeing a single staff member smile during our week. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The location is nicely central without being in the tourist-trap area. I’d asked for a quiet room on the top floor, and they gave me a spacious, clean one with a decent view, big windows that opened for fresh air, and blackout curtains. The room was quiet, too. The sewage smell that kept lingering was unpleasant, and the fake orange juice at breakfast was a deal-breaker for a hotel claiming four stars. The front desk staff never smiled or acknowledged guests. The TV couldn’t stream, so guests who rely on streaming were stuck unless they wanted to watch drek. Thanks to the staff member who came up twice to help with the TV and thermostat.
