TURIM Terreiro do Paço Hotel

My room was roomy, comfortable, and quiet, which was lovely after long days walking around Lisbon. The staff were so friendly and attentive, nearly like they could read my mind, and were always ready to help. The location made city exploring easy, with many main attractions nearby. Breakfast let me down a bit. It seemed expensive for what was offered, and the options stayed the same each day. I've visited Lisbon more than four times, so I was disappointed by the lack of variety. Still, I'd recommend the hotel for its location, comfortable rooms, and excellent staff. 😊

We were there 6th - 9th Feb 2026 for our 25th Anniversary, and the hotel surprised us with a lovely gift. The staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to help. It's right in the middle of the city, within walking distance of the attractions and near some of the best local Portuguese restaurants with good prices. It should be 5 star!! We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Lisbon.

The location was excellent, but several problems really affected our stay: unexplained card charges, a request for sensitive card information, room comfort, and confusion about the minibar. We found three separate hotel charges on our credit card statement. Before checkout, we asked the front desk about them, but they said they had no record of purchases at the desk or restaurant and didn't know where the charges came from. We were told my card would only be tapped once at checkout. When I followed up by email, the hotel said the purchase location was incorrect. I explained that my card shows the same general Lisbon location for all transactions in the city, which is normal. They then asked for my full CARD NUMBER to investigate. That seemed unnecessary and like a bad security risk, so I contacted my bank. They explicitly told me not to share the number and to dispute the charges. I was very disappointed and unsettled. With my extensive travel experience, this wasn't something I expected in Lisbon. After I emailed that I wouldn't send my card number, the hotel never replied. There was also a minibar mix-up. The booking description didn't say whether the items were included. When a staff member showed us to our room, he said we could have the water and snacks in the fridge and refill them as much as we liked. We specifically asked if they were included and he said yes. On the third day, we checked at reception and were told they cost extra. It seemed like a staff miscommunication or language barrier. We paid for the items, but it was frustrating and could have been avoided with clearer communication. The review mentioned proof photos below, which may need to be viewed on Google maps, since Google itself often doesn't show photo reviews.

The location made exploring Lisbon easy, with attractions, restaurants, and transport links all within walking distance. The hotel and its common areas were spotless and well maintained, and the rooms were clean and relaxing. The welcome was especially warm. Rita explained check-in clearly, patiently answered all our questions, and helped us extend our stay using the Valentine’s offer. That made our trip feel even more special. I may not remember all the names, but every staff member we met was professional, attentive, and kind. A fantastic stay, and I'd happily come back. Highly recommended!
