The staff made us feel like familiar guests even though this was our first visit. Everyone was warm, attentive, and fully engaged, so it’s hard to single out one person. That care showed in the little details throughout the hotel. Our suite had a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, and it was genuinely quiet at night thanks to the good sound insulation. We also enjoyed the cocktails at the bar and the consistently high quality of the food. Right in the old town, the location put everything within an easy walk, yet the hotel felt like a peaceful place to relax after sightseeing. We had a truly excellent weekend at Convent Square Lisbon and would definitely return for another city break.

Joao and Bruno at reception were especially friendly and attentive. They welcomed us, answered all our questions, and offered great restaurant suggestions. The service throughout our anniversary stay was wonderful, and the rooms were very clean with excellent room service. We also enjoyed the view from our room, and the location made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. We used the pool, sauna, and gym too. It’s a 4-star hotel, but both the service and the feel of the hotel seemed 5-star to us. We’d love to stay again if we return to Lisbon.

The location worked perfectly for us, close to all the places we wanted to visit. It’s beside the 13th-century church of São Domingo and only a few steps from A Ginjinha. Taxis are easy to find nearby, though cars can’t pull up directly at the hotel entrance. Arrange to be dropped near Rosio Square on Praça Dom Pedro IV and Largo São Domingos street. The old convent was transformed and opened in 2023, and the place feels fresh. The décor is simple and elegant, the rooms are thoughtfully set up, and ours had a small balcony by the bathroom, a nice surprise. Everything was clean and quiet, and the staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. The air conditioning was a bit weak. Staff responded quickly and sent someone to look at it, but the issue wasn’t fully fixed. It was only a minor hassle since it was warm for a couple of days. Breakfast was standard, while the bar was excellent and the restaurant had a beautiful design.

The people at Convent Square Lisbon Hotel are what turned a beautiful hotel into a really special place. We left feeling cared for and remembered, and eager to come back. Larissa, our hostess, made us feel at home throughout our stay and sent a personal note on our last night. It was a small gesture that meant a lot and showed the hotel’s attention to detail. Casimino looked after us at meals with a friendly, good-humored style that still felt professional. Danish made original, carefully crafted cocktails at the bar night after night, creative without being gimmicky. Pedro welcomed us warmly at the restaurant and immediately helped us settle into a relaxed, memorable experience. The hotel also delivers on design, comfort, and location, but the service is what sets it apart.
