The location is lovely, right by the old fort, with restaurants and shops nearby and the beach within walking distance. The entrance street is pedestrian only, and the area is very nice. There are nice views too, and the AC works great. It’s a classy, modern place with keyless entry. What you get is a newly renovated hotel room with a little kitchen, beautiful bathroom tile, brass fixtures, and a large shower. It’s a bit cozy. I saw it called a hostel online, but that doesn’t really describe it.

The towels weren't changed once during the whole week, and there was a musty, mold-like smell in the room. It was unpleasant and felt very unhealthy. I’d look for another place to stay.

The rooms were clean and lovely, and the location was perfect, right in the middle of everything in Machico. It’s less than a 10-minute ride from the airport. I hadn’t checked in the day before, which was completely my fault, but they responded incredibly quickly when I arrived and needed to contact them. So do check in the day before you arrive, unlike me.

Machico’s a nice, quiet town, close to everything but without Funchal’s noise. We had a wonderful few nights here, and the hotel is right by the ocean, with nice restaurants and little shops nearby. The room was lovely, with a small stove for cooking or warming leftovers. I’d definitely recommend it for a Madeira trip. Just remember to check in before arriving, since there’s no physical concierge. They send you the door and room codes ahead of time. I actually liked being able to come and go without bothering anyone.

Modern place and really well organized. I arrived at the airport at night and arranged check-in ahead of time without any trouble. This is the place to stay in Machico.
