Quinta do Pinheiral

A fantastic villa with a beautiful garden. Definitely recommend it.

We spent a week here in August with our daughter, and would happily return. The welcome was lovely, the pool was fantastic, and the garden felt like a little paradise, with chickens, ducks, and a peacock. The furniture is a little rustic, but the mattress is 180 cm wide. The facilities and location were perfect for us.

I wouldn’t return or recommend this place based on my stay. After I posted a review on Booking.com, the man in charge called me at 11:30 PM, which had never happened to me before. He was rude, wouldn’t accept criticism, and tried to defend himself with lies. He blamed me for the poor cleanliness, even though the room had ants and bugs, the bed was awful, the pillows were practically nonexistent, and there was very little kitchenware. They even went into the room without asking. I understand that after a few days at the beach there may be some sand left behind, and we didn’t clean it because that’s their responsibility, especially since a cleaning fee is charged when booking. The only thing I initially thought was good was the attention from the man in charge, but after that call, even that didn’t seem good. When we left, I’d already pointed out the problems, yet he called to say they were all my fault. Looking at older Booking.com reviews, I also saw him responding rudely to people who posted negative comments, as if he couldn’t accept criticism that might affect the image of his establishment.
