Once we got to the room, things felt much better: it was spacious and very clean. Reception staff were pleasant and accommodating when we spoke with them, and the small pool was perfectly fine for cooling off. The beach is right at the end of the road. We found the hotel well placed and quite adequate for what we wanted. Our arrival was less welcoming. We weren’t sure what we’d booked, the bar was just some bottles at the end of reception, and the welcome felt lukewarm. Other guests had warned us not to expect much from breakfast, but we thought it was about the usual standard we’ve had at other European hotels. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, though not much else to do, so it’s not the place for anyone wanting more than a beach holiday.

We had a lovely holiday. The water pressure in our room was great, and you could use the sunbeds as you arrived, with no towel saving.

Coming back for a second year as part of my birthday celebrations was disappointing. Our room was at the back with no sun, and when I asked to move, they refused. The staff were rather rude. Breakfast was poor too: not much choice, no bacon, and the hot food was cold. It took the shine off my birthday.

The area doesn’t have much going on, and the pool is small, though it’s enough. The hotel itself is good.
