Adega Hostel

The noise made it really hard to rest after a long day of travel. We could hear planes, traffic, church bells, the owners, other guests, toilets flushing, and music. We also arrived to find the whole stairwell by the rooms smelling of marijuana, and smoking of different kinds seemed to be allowed in the rooms. We really didn’t like that, so light sleepers or anyone bothered by weed or smoke should be aware. We’d expected something different from what we booked through Hotels.com, though that was on us for not checking more carefully. It’s a simple, cozy place with shared bathrooms and a kitchen, and it could have been so much more.

Really enjoying it here! There’s plenty of parking, and it works well for small groups or events. It’s a great spot to meet Portuguese people and enjoy their hospitality. The pool is handy for cooling off after a good get together.

For around 20€, this was a great stay. The hostel has a rustic, authentic feel, with a lovely pool, clean, spacious rooms, a queen size bed, and a big kitchen with everything in it. I had a really nice time and would definitely recommend it for a night or longer.

Really friendly service, and the bar and restaurant were superb. I loved the decor and the location too. It was much better value than some of the overpriced Airbnbs nearby. Highly recommended.
