I was really disappointed by how this went. After I booked, I arrived to find no key, and nobody answered my calls or texts. The owner got back to me 45 minutes later, saying they couldn't come because I'd booked too late, at 17:00, even though Booking.com said bookings were available until 20:00. Then I spent another full hour waiting while Booking.com tried to find me somewhere else to sleep, without really finding a place. They only cancelled my original reservation at the end and asked me to book somewhere different. I was left on the street for two hours in 12-degree weather. Booking.com didn't even cover the taxis back and forth or the coffee I bought while waiting in a café like a person. The whole thing was crazy, annoying, and disappointing. Booking.com, never again. Beach life Portugal in Parede, never ever again.

A great family option. The apartment has what you need for a comfortable stay, and there's a shopping centre or store about an 8-10 minute walk away. It's on the ground floor of a two-storey building, set in a quiet courtyard. One thing in the Google photo doesn't match: the "shelf/partition" shown in the middle of the room isn't actually there, and I think the room is better without it. The owner deserves a special mention. She's very open and quick to respond.
