10/10
We had a suite with a large living room, sofa, and chairs, plus a roomy, clean bathroom. The bedroom was spacious too. The twin beds were fine, if a little firm for our taste. From the windows and decks, the views are superb. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast had plenty of choices, fresh ingredients, a nice display, and lots of delicious coffee. It's peaceful while still close to the town center. Worth a stay, and we'd return if we're back.

The view and location are amazing, and Patricia was especially sweet and accommodating. The staff went above and beyond. Thanks for such a great impression, 10/10.

The hotel and pool are great, but checkout with a credit card was a bad experience. They tried to charge me a foreign exchange fee twice, converting Euros to dollars and then back to Euros. The receipt says "Novobanco" and "Currency conversion" provided by SIBS. Their card scanner wasn't working because of telecommunications issues and software programming, so there was no way around it. It felt like a scam. Someone should report this to the Portuguese government financial and tourism authority. :(

The rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast was good. Such a shame that our evening meal was low quality and the staff were so unpleasant. We were a group of 40 staying for one night.

I didn't stay at the hotel, just went to the snack bar for lunch in August, and it was a nightmare. Food was laid out buffet-style and the quality wasn't very good. There wasn't enough food, we waited a long time, and the staff were very slow and didn't seem to know what they were doing. The payment system was down too. They promised some fries were coming, but they never appeared. Not recommended.
