The river view is outstanding, and the owners are so friendly. It’s quiet and cozy here. Highly recommend it.

The terrace has a fantastic view over the Douro, and there are two canoes for paddling, plus paddleboards and a place to swim. Inside, our air-conditioned room had a wardrobe for unpacking and its own shower room. The linens were very clean, and the house itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We had a very pleasant stay and a friendly welcome. Getting in is the difficult part. There’s no parking, and the entrance opens straight onto a busy road with no sidewalk. I’d suggest this place for a group of adults.

The view across the Douro is lovely, and it’s a tempting spot for a swim. You can also try a few water sports. The idea behind the place is interesting, and the people running it are very friendly. Just bear in mind it won’t suit anyone with mobility problems.

That terrace above the river is especially charming in the evening. We were there for a weekend, hoping to see the Alto Douro region, and the hosts were really attentive. Every morning they left us a bottle of wine and something for breakfast in the kitchen. Kayaks and paddleboards were available too, though the weather wasn’t quite suitable while we were there.

The Douro Valley view was breathtaking, and the paddleboards and kayaks were there to use. We were welcomed with wine, chilled water, and a welcome drink. It made for an incredible evening and night in a little corner of paradise.
