Neat Hotel Avenida

The staff made my five nights at NEAT hotel Avienda especially nice. Everyone, from housekeeping and the kitchen team to the front desk, was consistently kind and helpful. They filled my water bottle, helped with reservations and recommendations, and did it all with a smile. My room was comfortable and spotless, with a great marina view. I liked sitting in the chair with a cool breeze and watching people between outings. I slept well every night and didn't have the noise problems others mentioned. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices and some variety day to day. The location was great too, near the Marina and city center, with everything I needed close by. Just keep in mind it's a three-star hotel: the gym is lacking, and they don't provide expensive toiletries, so bring your own. All in all, a fabulous stay.

The room was spacious, spotless when I arrived, and had a modern TV. Staff were always pleasant and courteous. Breakfast options were limited, but seemed about right for a three-star hotel, so that wasn't a major issue. What really affected my two-night stay at the NEAT Hotel Avenida was the lack of soundproofing. My room looked onto an alley that stayed noisy late into the night. Since I was there just two nights, I didn't ask to move, but my sleep suffered. The gym was tiny and had little equipment, so a full workout was hard. The sauna was also very small and didn't get very hot. I got a decent sweat only by adding water to the hot rocks often. Neither the gym nor the sauna had lockers, which was inconvenient.

The room was absolutely clean, and the facilities were enough for us since we spent the days sightseeing and just needed a quiet place to sleep. The location was good, with our farthest walk taking about 15 minutes. Breakfast was among the best we had in the Azores. We had a really pleasant stay.

Great front desk service while I was here on vacation. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, and the location is central. 👌
