Villa Esmeralda

The apartments are roomy and clean, with appliances that all worked well. The location is great and parking is included, though getting to the garage means navigating very narrow European lanes. The hot water often ran out while I was showering, and cleaning only came every three days, which could have been more frequent.

The practical side was great too: the garage was a big help on the narrow streets, and the old town's restaurants and shops were just minutes away. Even so, the apartment was quiet and spotless. Claudia was always friendly and ready with helpful tips, and we felt at home. We arrived on the last flight from Lisbon in the middle of the night, but the taxi ride took under ten minutes, and the key code made it easy to get inside. Villa Esmeralda is beautifully decorated, modern, and cozy, with so much attention to detail. We especially loved unwinding with a glass of wine on our terrace in the lovely courtyard. We'd gladly return. Thank you, dear Claudia, for a memorable stay!

We felt welcome from the start. The apartment was clean, luxurious, and set up with the basics, including toiletries, coffee, and spices. A great experience, definitely recommend.

My inquiries to the owner about the charges went unanswered, and the communication was extremely poor. I had been told at the property that there would be no extra costs, but after I returned to Germany, I was charged them anyway. There had already been issues with the original booking, and the whole sequence left me with a strong impression of unreliability and unprofessional customer service. The most alarming part of my stay was finding a large cockroach in the bathroom in the middle of the night. That's unacceptable in a hotel and made me question its hygiene standards.
