Alegria Rooms

The price was good at 23 euros a night, plus 4 euros in tourist tax paid in cash. The location is great, close to shops, the center, and the metro. There was a kitchen with a kettle and fridge, but no way to cook food. The rooms weren't cleaned well, and the shower was dirty. The windows were very old and did nothing to block sound, so it felt like sleeping outside because you could hear everything.

The rooms' windows don't close, which makes it easy for someone to get in. The showers have outdoor-style tile floors where water gets trapped underneath, leaving a bad smell and an unhygienic mess. The bathroom opens straight onto the corridor. There was no stove in the kitchen, and the smell in there was so bad I couldn't stay.

The owner was really kind and friendly, and was willing to welcome us at any time. But the street noise made it impossible to sleep. We only booked one night because we had to leave for the airport very early, and I was exhausted but still woke up several times. Bars nearby kept the street loud until around 3:00-4:00 AM, with music, cars, and people shouting and laughing. The windows don't block it well, and they don't shut properly or have blinds.

The shared toilets and showers were clean, and there was also a kitchen we could use. The place was clean, centrally located, and inexpensive. We had a really good stay, and the owner was very polite.
